On Thursday, February 9, 6:00pm there will be a public meeting at the Willie Hinton Neighborhood Resource Center, 3805 West 12th Street, to update the public on the progress of the Award Winning 12th Street Corridor Revitalization Plan and to receive input from the community on what goals and needs should be the focus of keeping momentum going. Neighborhood Stakeholders have been a vital part of putting this plan together over the past several years and reminding leaders of the existing needs in the community.

“I can’t help but to be excited about seeing progress made on the BCD Empowerment Center, Children’s Library and soon the mixed-use Police Substation all of which are signals of hope for the revitalization plan in action. These are things that the community requested and now they are within sight. The next step is job creation for disconnected youth and adults” said City Director Ken Richardson.
