Four Little Rock parks will see new playgrounds early next year now that the City of Little Rock Parks and Recreation Department has been awarded a $250,000 grant from the Arkansas Department of Parks and Tourism.

Part of the State’s Outdoor Recreation Grant program, the award is for new playgrounds at Reservoir, Ottenheimer, Kanis and Hanger Hill parks, including the addition of Americans with Disabilities Act compliant items. The City of Little Rock held four public hearings in May and June 2018 and these projects received support from the public.

The total grant award is for $250,000.00 with the City required to provide a match of $250,000.00 for a total project budget of $500,000.00.
