The City of Little Rock congratulates Community Engagement Specialist Dwight Pridgeon who was recently elected to the board of directors for Neighborhood USA (NUSA).

A nonprofit organization, NUSA has been committed to building and strengthening programs within neighborhoods since the early 1970s. The group is governed by a 21-member board elected to three year terms. Pridgeon has been involved with NUSA since 2008 when he attended his first conference in Virginia.

Pridgeon said he ran for office to help build stronger communities in Little Rock.

“The mission statement of NUSA is providing opportunities for diverse people and organizations to share their ideas, values and experiences to build stronger communities,” Pridgeon said. “We in Little Rock have a group of people called TEAM NUSA and the acronym means Together Everyone Achieves More. I look forward to serving and continuing the great work we’ve been doing.”
