LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (Sept. 6, 2016) – The City of Little Rock will host a public meeting about Phase II of the Water Quality Demonstration and Education Project that is funded by the Arkansas Natural Resources Commission. 

This will also provide an opportunity for participants to comment about the work that was completed on the 100 – 500 blocks of Main Street. Mayor Mark Stodola, city staff and the Phase II design team will participate.  The meeting will begin at 12 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2016, at the Downtown Little Rock Partnership, on the first floor meeting room at the Lafayette Building, at 6th and Louisiana streets in Little Rock.  

Phase II of the Main Street project will include work in the 600 and 700 blocks of Main Street and will demonstrate the benefits of green infrastructure applications such as porous pavers, tree wells, rain gardens and other water filtration practices to enhance water quality.In December, a second public hearing will be held to invite comments on the new design.
