LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (Oct. 17, 2016) – Keep Little Rock Beautiful (KLRB) and Goodwill Industries of Arkansas invite artists and guests to participate at the second annual RecyclART fundraiser Thursday, Nov. 17, at the MacArthur Museum of Arkansas Military History in Little Rock. The event features participating artists’ sculptures made partially from recycled materials donated by Goodwill Industries.

Proceeds from the event to celebrate #AmericaRecyclesDay will benefit the KLRB school recycling grant program.

Artists are asked to submit sculptures for a contest, but with a catch: Part of the materials they incorporate into their work must be recycled. Goodwill Industries provides participating artists with a voucher for those materials, which could wind up being any found object an artist could imagine as part of the piece.

To participate, artists should contact KLRB board member, Tim Heiple, at Tim@hwarch.com or visit www.KLRB.org for more information.

Guests at the November 17 event will vote on their favorite sculpture, with the winning artist receiving a $500 prize.

RecyclART will offer guests refreshments, including drinks provided by Stone’s Throw Brewing.

Tickets are $10 and are available through Keep Little Rock Beautiful board members or at the door.
