History

Morehart Park occupies 43 acres of level, densely-wooded land in the Mabelvale community of southwest Little Rock. The park was developed in 1980 with funds provided through a municipal bond issue and with additional assistance from the Heritage, Conservation, and Recreation Service. The park property was acquired in 1973 from the heirs of the Morehart estate.
