Applications Development

The Applications Development Division is responsible for the many software applications and major databases that run on the City network. A staff of eleven (11) Programmers and Analysts work with other City Departments to evaluate their requests for software support and to provide assistance in selecting and acquiring appropriate versions of the software from a vendor.

Some of the software developed by staff programmers include a comprehensive Police and Courts application that tracks requests for police services, wanted persons, evidence inventory, traffic tickets, court appearances, fine payments and much more. Other applications have been developed to support the operations of many other City Departments including 911, 311, and Fire.
