What is a Little Rock Identification Card?
The Little Rock Identification Card was established to bring all of Little Rock’s residents together as one community. The City of Little Rock will offer a unique photo identification card to City residents age 14 and older to connect those residents to municipal services, to incorporate them into the local economy, to increase public safety, and to provide them with a sense of belonging to the City of Little Rock.
Who can apply for a Little Rock Identification Card?
The Little Rock Identification Card is available to any resident age 14 and older of the City of Little Rock who can prove their Identity and Residency as listed in the requirements here.
How do I prove my Identity?
The documents required to prove identity have been divided into three categories: primary, secondary, and tertiary. Identity will be verified if applicants present at least one valid primary document OR two valid secondary documents OR three valid tertiary documents OR one valid secondary document and two valid tertiary documents. How do I prove my Residency?
If a document submitted as Proof of Identity also establishes residency, it will be considered as one of the documents necessary to prove residency in the City of Little Rock. Proof of residency in the City of Little Rock must be established through two documents if you are over age 18. If you are under age 18, homeless, or living in a domestic violence shelter, proof of residency must be established by only one document.
Documents that are renewed annually will only be valid if dated within one calendar year of the date of application. Documents that are renewed on a monthly basis, such as utility bills, must be dated within six months of the date of application.
Proof of residency documents in the name of a spouse, domestic partner, or civil union may be accepted if submitted in conjunction with a valid current certificate of marriage, domestic partnership, or civil union.
If you are under age 18 proof of residency documents submitted in the name of a parent may be accepted in conjunction with the minor’s birth certificate showing the parent’s name. The full list of Residency documents accepted here.
Who will accept the Little Rock Identification Card?
All City of Little Rock Departments will accept the Little Rock Identification Card. The list of financial institutions that accept the Little Rock Identification Card can be found here. The City of Little Rock Identification Card is not a license to drive, not intended to be utilized as proof of legal age to purchase alcohol or tobacco, and not intended to be accepted by federal or state agencies for identification or other official purposes.
When will the cards be available?
The Office of the Multicultural Liaison will begin making appointments and issuing cards on July 7, 2018.

Applications will be accepted by appointment only at the Wakefield Neighborhood Resource Center.
Is my information secure?
Little Rock is establishing a program based on the best practices of other cities that have implemented municipal identification card programs. The Little Rock Identification Card will be a secure card, and the City of Little Rock will take every precaution to protect each applicant’s data to the maximum extent allowed by state and federal law.
How much does it cost?
The Little Rock Identification Card costs $10.00, which can be paid by credit or debit card or money order. Some exceptions may apply.
When will my Little Rock Identification Card expire?
The Little Rock Identification Card is valid for three years from the date it is issued.
