At 8:26 pm, on November 8, 2025, Northwest patrol officers responded to the 6920 Colonel Glenn Road for a vehicle vs. motorcycle collision. The unknown driver of the vehicle was exiting a business when it struck the motorcycle driven by 39-year-old Donnie Byars Jr., who succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

A patrol supervisor arrived on scene and notified Accident Reconstruction Officers who responded to process the scene, take photographs, collect evidence and take measurements. At this point in the investigation, no charges have been filed pending a comprehensive review. This investigation is ongoing.
