Bike-Friendly Community Designation
The following list is meant to make this goal more actionable and SMART. This list may not be complete.
3.1 Create a signature bicycling-related event: The example given is an Open Streets event, in which a public street is closed off to vehicular traffic. There may be potential to leverage the recent passage of the Rivermarket Entertainment District to this end.[7]
3.2 Business outreach: A good process through which to do this is to offer technical assistance to businesses applying for LAB’s Bike Friendly Business designation.
