Welcome to West Central Community Center and Sports Complex Virtual Recreation Portal. With current restrictions in place due to COVID-19, we are committed to supporting the well-being of our community in a new way.

It is important for all to have access to a variety of resources to maintain a healthy, active lifestyle during this challenging time.

Inside the West Central virtual recreation portal, visitors will find online programs to take part in and resources to explore to stay active both physically and mentally. WEST CENTRAL SPORTS DIVISION

West Central Sports Complex

BASKETBALL LEAGUE

The West Central Sports Division will host its regular league BUT without fans for the 2020 – 2021 season.  Teams must be registered to play in our league.  The Facility Supervisor and League Commissioner will recruit teams.  The WC Sports Coordinator will register individual players; develop teams and schedule games.

League play will take place November 2020 thru March 2021

Fans will be allowed based upon the guidance provided by the Arkansas Department of Health.  To ensure all parents can see their child ply, all games will be live streamed via BOXCAST Streaming Service and simulcast on our West Central Community Radio Station KWCP 98.9. 

Parents will pay a fee and will be able to watch their child play in real time!

Tournaments

Arkansas-Mississippi Classic Basketball Tournament March 5, 2021 – March 7, 2021

The West Central Sports Division will host teams from Jackson, Edwards and Vicksburg Mississippi will travel to Little Rock to compete at the West Central Sports Complex Gym against Little Rock’s Best Teams!

Ages – 7 – 15

Fans will be allowed based upon the guidance provided by the Arkansas Department of Health.  To ensure that all parents get to see their child play, games will be live streamed on the BOXCAST Streaming Service and simulcast on our WC Sports Network! A division of our West Central Community Radio Station KWCP 98.9. 

Fans will pay online and watch their team in the playoffs and championship game! First Second and Third place trophies will be awarded.

March Madness West Central League Play-off Championship – March 2021

The West Central Sports Division will coordinate the tournament and teams from all over the city will be invited to play in this tournament.

Fans will be allowed based upon the guidance provided by the Arkansas Department of Health.  To ensure that all parents get to see their child play, games will be live streamed on the BOXCAST Streaming Service and simulcast on our West Central Community Radio Station KWCP 98.9.

Fans will pay online and watch their team in the playoffs and championship game! First Second and Third place trophies will be awarded.

FOOTBALL

If the decision is made to allow flag football, the WCCC will form its flag football league for ages 3 and up.

Esports!

Esports is a form of sport competition using video games. The WCCC Esports will be organized, multiplayer video game competitions between players registered in our Esports League as individuals or teams.

TOURNAMENT

Madden 20 Virtual League and Tournament

Madden NFL 20 is an American football video game based on the National Football League, the West Central Sports Division will coordinate the league by registering teams and scheduling the tournament. TBD

BASEBALL/SOFTBALL/T-BALL

The WCCC will begin online registration for the 2021 season in November 2020.  Registration will continue thru March 2021.  The Season will begin in May 2021.

The decision to play will be based upon state guidance. If play is authorized, ADH guidelines for outdoor sports will be used.

Fans will pay online and watch their team in the playoffs and championship game! First Second and Third place trophies will be awarded.

West Central Sports Division staff will develop additional sports leagues as interest is shown.

Boxing

Boxing Tournament

The WCCC has partnered with the Ray Rodger Boxing Club and Diamond Rock Promotions to host youth boxing tournaments including the Arkansas State Junior Olympics.  The event was scheduled for April 2020 but was cancelled due to COVID-19.

We have been asked to host the 2021 USA Boxing Silver Gloves State Tournament which is a qualifier for the 2021 Boxing Silver Gloves Regional Tournament that we have also been asked to host.  The winners of these tournaments advance on the Nationals which leads to the Olympics.

The state tournament includes clubs from around the state.  The regional tournament includes clubs from: Arkansas, Texas, Louisiana, Tennessee, Mississippi, Oklahoma, and Missouri.

Being in the BRING IT competition means you have the courage to perform, the talent to create, the opportunity to meet like-minded competitors!  The WCCC Bring It competition was all of that and more.  Held October 15, 2019 the event brought competitors from Memphis, TN, St, Louis, Mo, Cincinnati, OH and Florida!   For 2021 we plan to host three events: March, July and October.

If COVID-19 is still a factor, we will live stream all events and fans will be able to view on the WCCC YOUTUBE Channel as pay per view events.
