The City of Little Rock's Eighth Annual Sustainability Summit was held on March 30, 2017 in the new ballroom of the renovated Robinson Center.

This year we shared a report card style update on the progress of the 2020 Sustainability Roadmap. The Summit focused on three goals from the Roadmap: the new Fresh2You Mobile Farmers Market, the City's efforts to promote green roofs, and improvements in accessible alternative transportation. Our guest speaker was Bob Perciasepe, the former Deputy Administrator of the EPA and the current President of the Center for Climate and Energy Solutions. He spoke about the power of local government to direct positive change in our society. Thank you for Bob for the inspiring words! Two tours were offered after the summit. One was conducted by our Public Works Director and talked about the new Broadway bridge and the potential future green roof on the Old Jail behind City Hall. The second tour was of the sustainable features of the renovated Robinson. After the event, the Fresh2You mobile food market could be found outside waiting to provide fresh produce to the Summit attendees.

The City of Little Rock's Seventh Annual Sustainability Summit was held on March 31, 2016 at the Clinton Presidential Center.

This year we shared a report card style update on the progress of the 2020 Sustainability Roadmap. The Summit focused on three goals from the Roadmap: commercial organic waste recycling, the adoption of complete streets, and plans for developing the Fourche Creek as a recreational destination. Our nationally recognized guest speaker, Chad Pregracke of Living Lands and Waters, brought passion, energy, and inspiration to our discussion about cleaning and energizing the Fourche Creek Watershed. In addition, there was an option to participate in a tour of the Fourche Creek at the State Fairgrounds.

The City of Little Rock's Sixth Annual Sustainability Summit was held on April 9th, 2015 at the Clinton Presidential Center.

This year we unveiled the 2020 Sustainability Roadmap. The Roadmap is a strategy of various sustainability initiatives that City departments and citizens will undertake throughout the next five years. We also focused on individual empowerment and the benefits that sustainability brings to daily life. Our nationally recognized guest speaker, John Fisk of Winrock International's Wallace Center, spoke about sustainable food practices.
