At 5:31 am Tuesday, December 23, 2025, patrol officers with the Southwest Division responded to a shooting at 27 Falcon Court. Officers arrived and discovered 18-year-old Brandon Johnson of Little Rock, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. MEMS and RESCUE responded; however, Johnson succumbed to injuries at the scene. Officers secured the area and notified Homicide Detectives and the Crime Scene Search Unit. Both responded and began an investigation. Later, The Pulaski County Coroner transported the deceased body to the Arkansas State Crime Lab for an autopsy and next of kin was notified.

During the course of the investigation, 18-year-old Jeremiah Lowery was developed as a suspect in the incident. Lowery was taken into custody and transported to the Major Crimes Division for further investigation. He was then subsequently  charged with Capital Murder and transported to PCRJ without incident. This investigation is ongoing and occurred in the Southwest Division.
