At 8:25 pm, on April 9, 2025, 12^th Street patrol officers responded to the 4400 block of West 12^th Street for a vehicle vs. pedestrian collision. When officers arrived, they discovered an unknown black female unresponsive on the side of the street. MEMS responded and transported her to a local hospital where she later succumbed to injuries. The Pulaski County Coroner’s Office responded and transported the deceased individual to the Arkansas State Crime Lab for an autopsy and positive identification. The next of kin will be notified once identification is confirmed. 

Accident Reconstruction Officers responded to process the scene and take photographs, collect evidence, and take measurements. At this point in the investigation, no charges have been filed pending a comprehensive review. This investigation is ongoing.
