LRPD Officer Arrested and Relieved of Duty)

On Sunday, September 25, 2022, at 2:36 AM, Little Rock Police officers were dispatched to 6523 Brookview Drive for a Battery Call. Upon arrival, officers were met by family members of the victim, who informed them their daughter was struck by Cristian Gallegos. The victim's family members further informed officers Mr. Gallegos is an officer with the Little Rock Police Department. During the on-scene investigations, responding officers determined the victim had physical injuries. Officer Gallegos was transported to the Major Crimes Division, where detectives and supervisors reviewed the facts provided in this incident. After the preliminary investigation, Gallegos was charged with Domestic Battery 3rd Degree.

Officer Gallegos has served with the Little Rock Police Department since February of 2019. Gallegos has been relieved of duty and placed on paid administrative leave per departmental policy. While the criminal investigation is ongoing, the Little Rock Police Department’s Professional Standards Division (Internal Affairs) will also comprehensively investigate this incident.
