Markham and Chenal Homicide)

At 12:46 p.m., on Tuesday December 6, 2022, Little Rock Police Officers responded to shots fired in the 11500 block of West Markham Street. When officers arrived, they discovered several spent casings. A short time later, officers were alerted of a shooting victim near the intersection of Markham Street and Chenal Parkway. When officers arrived at that location, they discovered Ja’Markeise Gage, 18, of Little Rock, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. MEMS and RESCUE responded and pronounced Mr. Gage dead at the scene. The Pulaski County Coroner’s Office responded and transported Mr. Gage’s body to Arkansas State Crime Lab for autopsy.

Homicide Detectives and the Crime Scene Search Unit were notified, responded, and began an investigation. Detectives canvassed the area for surveillance and interviewed witnesses. The investigation is ongoing and next of kin was notified. This homicide occurred in the Northwest Division.

Update: Kadren Frierson, 22, Kevin Pringle, 21, and 20-year-old Carlo Spencer were arrested in connection with the Markham and Chenal Homicide that occurred December 6, 2022. They have all been charged with Capital Murder.
