Undisputed Middleweight Champion of the World to be Honored by Parade through Streets of Hometown, Culminating in Rally at Amphitheatre
 
 
Parade Route
The parade will kick-off at the State Capitol.  It will proceed east along Capitol Avenue to Broadway.  At Broadway it will turn north and progress to Markham.  At Markham, it will turn east and travel toward the River Market.  The parade will continue along President Clinton Avenue, turn around in Celebration Circle, proceed west and end at the rally in Riverfront Park.
 
The parade will start Friday, July 22, 2005, at 11:00 am.
 
Rally
The rally will take place at Riverfest Amphitheatre in Riverfront Park.  Program participants are being finalized.  It will be free and open to the public.
 
Friday, July 22, 2005, at 12 noon.
 
Street closure information
Parking will not be allowed on President Clinton Avenue starting at 4:30 am on Friday, July 22.

The following closures will take place starting at 10:00 am on Friday, July 22
Markham between Scott and Cumberland
The intersection of LaHarpe, Markham, Cumberland, and President Clinton Avenue
President Clinton Avenue (the entire length of the street)

The remainder of the parade route will be temporarily closed by a “rolling blockade” of police personnel as the parade makes it way along the route.

Streets will reopen in the following times:
Markham between Scott and Cumberland – 12 noon
The intersection of LaHarpe, Markham, Cumberland, & President Clinton Ave. – 12 noon
President Clinton Avenue – 1:00 pm

Parking will resume along President Clinton Avenue at 1:00 pm.

The Clinton Presidential Library will be open on Friday. Access to the Library and Park will be through 3rd Street until after 1:00 pm.
