A spectacular free holiday concert in the Riverfest Amphitheatre.

LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS (November 29, 2005) – On Tuesday December 13, the River Market will present an eclectic holiday event called Sounds of the Season in the Riverfest Amphitheatre.

Sounds of the Season will feature spirited musical performances by a selection of local groups including the Central Arkansas Children’s Choir, Lifeway Choir, Sara Thomas, and Rondalla CCH. In addition to the joyous music, there will be a plethora of great vendors set up in the East Pavilion with the perfect last-minute gifts. Select food vendors in the Market Hall will also be open to serve a delicious variety of foods and beverages.

All attendees can enter to win a dazzling array of door prizes that have been donated by area businesses and organizations. Drawing for prizes will be held during the concert, but advance registration is available in the River Market dining hall. The shopping will start at 4 p.m. in the pavilion and the music and prize giveaways will start at 6 p.m., all lasting until around 8 p.m.

Admission to Sounds of the Season is absolutely free. It’s sure to be a fun and entertaining winter evening for the entire family.

Little Rock Parks and Recreation (LRPR) manages 50 parks, seven community centers, the Adult Leisure Center, War Memorial Fitness Center, four swimming pools, two tennis centers, the River Market, the Riverfest Amphitheatre, three golf courses, plus a catering service.
