LITTLE ROCK – The Little Rock Parks and Recreation Department is pleased to announce that the sculpture vandalized and stolen last week has been recovered.

Parks maintenance workers discovered the sculpture on Tuesday as they were working in Riverfront Park.

Last week, the sculpture – Jazz Player – was one of two pieces which were taken from their pedestal. The other one was found near where it had been removed a short time after the vandalism had been discovered.

The two sculptures are being examined to see what damage they may have sustained. Once that has been determined and any repairs have been made, they will be reinstalled in the Vogel-Schwartz Sculpture Garden in Riverfront Park.

Little Rock Police are still investigating the crime. Anyone with information, please call (501) 371-4605.
