Dumpster Day Welcomes Bulky Trash from Little Rock Residents

LITTLE ROCK – Residents of the City of Little Rock are invited to bring large household items for disposal at a Dumpster Day being held from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, Sept. 11, at the Southwest Community Center, 6401 Baseline Road.

Items that cannot normally be left curbside during normal trash collection can be dropped off at no cost. Only allowable items will be accepted. Proof of residency will be required.

Allowable items include:

Household Bulky Items         Larger Appliances

Mattresses                              Grills

Bed Frames                             Smokers

Dressers                                 Stoves

Chairs                                     Microwaves

Tables                                     Hot Water Heaters

Couches                                 

Patio Furniture

Carpets

Toys

 

Items that will not be accepted include:

  • Yard waste such as tree limbs, branches, grass cuttings, leaves, dirt, or rocks
  • Building materials such as concrete, bricks, lumber, roofing, fencing, plaster, sheet rock, paint, or glass
  • Motor parts such as engines, transmissions, axles, drive trains, suspension parts, boats, lawnmowers, or other small engines
  • Tires or vehicle parts such as doors, tailgates, or windows
  • Medical waste such as infectious waste, needles, or prescription medication
  • Liquid waste such as paint, gasoline, or freon
  • Explosives such as propane tanks, compressed gas cylinders, blasting agents, black powder, or other flammable materials
