On Monday, April 29, 2024, Patrol Officers with the 12th Street Division responded to a shooting at 2615 Dr. Martin Luther King Drive. Upon arrival, officers located 40-year-old Toney Fairmon suffering from apparent gun shot wounds. MEMS responded and attempted life-saving measures however, Mr. Fairmon perished at the scene. Officers secured the scene and notified Homicide Detectives. Later, the Pulaski County Coroner transported the deceased body to the Arkansas State Crime Lab for an autopsy and next of kin was notified.

The Crime Scene Search Unit responded shortly after Homicide Detectives. A preliminary investigation began as detectives canvassed the area for witnesses and video surveillance. This investigation is ongoing and occurred in the Southwest Division.
