Southwest patrol officers responded to a two-vehicle collision at 9524 I-30 Frontage Road just after 4:30 p.m., on Wednesday, May 1, 2024. When officers arrived, they discovered the driver of one of the vehicles, later identified as 23-yeard-old Cameron Baker, unresponsive. The driver and passenger of the second vehicle were both uninjured. Baker was pronounced dead at the scene.

Accident Reconstruction Officers were called and responded to process the scene and take photographs, collect evidence, and take measurements. The Coroner’s Office was also notified and responded to take possession of the deceased body and it was transported to the Arkansas State Crime Lab and next of kin was notified.  At this point in the investigation, no charges have been filed pending a comprehensive review. The investigation is ongoing.
