LITTLE ROCK – Mayor Frank Scott, Jr. and the City of Little Rock will host the City's first-ever Workforce Development Summit later this week, offering an opportunity for stakeholders across the region to discuss workforce challenges and priorities.

The summit is Friday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at The Centre at University Park, 6401 W. 12th St. Admission is free, but registration is required. View the agenda and register at LittleRock.gov.

Attendees will hear from panels of experts who will discuss prevailing workforce demands and opportunities for investment. Mike Rogers, chief workforce officer for the State of Arkansas, is the keynote speaker.

The summit aligns with Mayor Scott's pledge to serve as Little Rock's "chief growth officer" and focus on economic growth, especially among underserved populations. The summit will foster collaboration among the public and private sectors, as well as educational institutions, to ensure that Little Rock workers are equipped with the knowledge and resources they need to find jobs.
