LITTLE ROCK – The City of Little Rock will host three public meetings in coming days as it seeks public input on an update of its Stormwater Management and Drainage Design Manual. The updates are intended to help the City improve the effectiveness of its stormwater management program.

The City hopes to gather feedback from stakeholders, including developers, engineers and Little Rock residents as it identifies additional ways to better protect residents and property from the impacts of extreme weather events. Interested parties are asked to provide input on a range of topics, such as stormwater management, flood control, water quality, and erosion prevention. In addition to the public meetings, an online survey is available.

The meeting schedule is:

  • Wednesday, May 17: Dunbar Community Center, 1001 W. 16th St.
  • Monday, May 22: East Little Rock Community Center, 2500 E. Sixth St.
  • Thursday, May 25: Adolphine Fletcher Terry Library, 2015 Napa Valley Drive.

Each meeting begins at 6 p.m.

These public meetings offer interested parties an opportunity to meet with city employees to discuss questions or concerns about potential changes to drainage design criteria.
