Little Rock Marathon - Executive Director

GENEVA LAMM

Geneva Lamm is executive director of the Little Rock Marathon (LRM), the organizer of the region’s premier athletic events, including the Little Rock Marathon, the Little Rockers Kids Marathon, the Creep ‘N Crawl Half 5K, the Ugly Sweater Race, and the Mud Run. She created LRM in 2002 as an independent funding source for Little Rock Parks & Recreation. As a result of her leadership, LRM has evolved into a mission- driven organization that promotes healthy lifestyles through running and walking events, community outreach through its free training programs for children and adults, and tourism advocate for central Arkansas.

Since inception, LRM has contributed more than $1.6 million to Little Rock Parks & Recreation. Geneva is active in the running industry, having created the RRCA club Women Run Arkansas in 2000, part of the organizing body of National Running Day (currently known as Global Running Day) in 2009 as well as free training programs for adults and children across the state.

In 2019 Geneva was honored at the 45th Annual Governor’s Conference on Tourism with the prestigious Crystal Award for special achievement in tourism.

A marathoner herself, Geneva has completed marathons and half marathons (90 marathons and 100+ half marathons – she doesn’t keep track). Geneva’s passion for getting the Arkansans moving is reflected through the many programs LRM offers including training programs and youth running/walking. Through its year round running events, LRM is able to inspire and support individuals and families efforts to achieve a healthy lifestyle.
