Letters of Appreciation, Congratulations, Welcome Frequently Asked Questions

A letter from the Mayor may be issued for the following:

  • Conferences, conventions, seminars being held in Little Rock
  • Family and Class reunions held in Little Rock
  • Birthday letters for Little Rock residents turning 80 or older
  • Anniversaries of Little Rock businesses on milestone years (25, 50, 60, 75, 100, etc.)

Who can make a Letter request?

  • Request must be made by a City of Little Rock resident or an agent on behalf of businesses, events and organizations within the city limits

How should a Letter request be made?

  • All requests must be submitted using the online Mayor Request Form
  • All requests must be submitted at least 30 days in advance to allow time for the approval process and the production of the letter.

What must the request include?

  • Contact person’s first and last name, email and physical mailing address, as well as a telephone number
  • A summary and/or background of the person, event or organization

Letters will not be mailed and must be picked up in person at City Hall. Upon request, an emailed copy of the letter can be provided. Since City Hall is closed on weekends, pickups are available Monday through Friday, between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, excluding holidays.
