History

Interstate Park occupies 71 acres of level land adjacent to the Fourche River Bottoms. Both Fourche Creek and Swaggerty Creek traverse the site. The park was developed in 1979 on the former site of a sanitary landfill. The park serves primarily as a ballfield complex, with six lighted diamonds provided. The name of this park refers to the Interstate 30 Highway which forms the southern boundary. In 2021, a new boat ramp was added for easier access to Fourche Creek.
