Community Cooking
Community Cooking is a youth program partnership between Taquería Jalisco’z and the Little Rock Police Department. Community Cooking is a program designed to provide positive role models for today’s youth through a semester long cooking class. Community Cooking accepts children ages thirteen (13) through eighteen (18); Community Cooking is an all-inclusive program, so anyone regardless of race or gender is welcome. The classes are held on Saturdays from 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. During this time, community members and officers, of the Little Rock Police Department, will work together with real chefs to cook and prepare a course for the day. Each session focuses on a different appetizer, entrée, and dessert. The overall goal of Community Cooking is to bring the community, law enforcement, and local businesses and chefs together to prepare our youth for a future of success.
