Sister Cities Commission
The Little Rock Sister Cities Commission was created by Ordinance No. 16,306 and No. 16,345. Its thirteen (13) members serve five (5)-year terms. The duties of the Commission are to develop guidelines and programs for Sister City relationships with other cities in other countries, to further public awareness of communities throughout the world, emphasizing such things as cultural, historical and economic aspects of the City's adopted Sister Cities. Members are appointed by the Little Rock City Board of Directors and can include City employees and members of the Little Rock City Board of Directors.
Sister Cities:
- Kaohsiung, Taiwan (established April 19, 1983)
- Hanam City, Korea (established May 19, 1992)
- Changchun, China (established April 5, 1994)
- Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, England (established November 20, 2016)
- Caxias do Sul, Brazil (established November 11, 2017)
Friendship Cities:
- Jining, China (established April 26, 2016)
- Enna, Italy (established June 4, 2024)
