Bond Report

In November 2003, the citizens of Little Rock voted in favor of a $69 million “Continue the Progress” bond renewal program to be used on more than 200 capital improvement projects across the City. While City leaders were aware of the many needs for improvement, it was apparent that all needs could not be met through one bond issue. Projects were selected based on the greatest needs and the provision of improvements throughout the City. Little Rock citizens decided in favor of each of nine (9) issues placed on the ballot. Following the election, the Mayor and the Little Rock City Board of Directors passed a resolution to establish a citizen led Project Progress Committee to monitor the progress of the projects. This Committee meets every month with key City staff to discuss project development. The Continue the Progress website provides an opportunity for citizens to review the status of the projects in their community and citywide.
