Career Empowerment Opportunity

Welcome to the Career Empowerment Opportunity -  “where Little Rock citizens can become CEOs of their career and take ownership of their success.”

If participants progress through all of the phases, citizens can realistically move from:

  • not having a job to
  • enjoying a career and
  • become a homeowner

all within 12-24 months depending upon their individual circumstances.

Having income, a progressive career, and stable housing leads to a better local economy as well as creates more tax-paying citizens which is a benefit to us all.

The first Opportunity begins Monday March 4 and ends Friday March 29 from 6:00pm-8:30pm at the West Central Community Center located at the intersection of John Barrow Rd. & Col. Glenn Road. It does include a dinner break provided from 7:00pm-7:30pm.

Anyone aged 18 and above may attend. We have started accepting applicants on a “first come – first served” basis up to 25 people. The only requirement is proof that they are a Little Rock citizen. They may register by calling Starla Frazier, Community Engagement Specialist, at 501-371-4791 or sfrazier@littlerock.gov.  However, if they are a ReEntry citizen, they need to contact Dwight Pridgeon, ReEntry Coordinator, at 501-371-4476 or dpridgeon@littlerock.gov.

Please feel free to start telling anyone and everyone about this opportunity – especially Little Rock citizens who need an employment opportunity.
