Low Impact Development (LID)

The City of Little Rock is leading the way in demonstrating the benefits of Low Impact Development (LID) with the water quality demonstration project along Main Street’s Creative Corridor.  This project, paid for by Section 319h funding from the Arkansas Natural Resources Commission, was inspired by an earlier Greening of America’s Capitals grant from the Environmental Protection Agency.  National experts on LID from the University of Arkansas Community Design Center worked with engineers from Crafton Tull to design this pedestrian-friendly, sustainable streetscape.
