Board Votes on Grant Funds for Partnership with CHI/St. Vincent to provide Health Care Services to Low-Income Residents
The City of Little Rock Board of Directors voted today on a resolution to provide health care services for low-income residents in partnership with CHI/St. Vincent Medical Group.
Through the partnership, the City will provide Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds in the amount of $175,000 and $100,000 to help CHI St. Vincent Community Care Clinic (East Clinic) provide an array of health and dental services including but not limited to physical exams, preventative care, x-rays, filing/cleaning, etc. The clinic also provides transportation services to those clients who have inadequate means of transportation.
The Clinic is located in the Nathaniel W. Hill East Little Rock Community Center complex located at 2500 E. 6th Street. Over the past five years the clinic has helped more than 38,000 low/moderate income individuals.
