Dennison Street Homicide)

Just before noon on Tuesday, October 25, 2022, Little Rock Police Officers responded to a shots fired call for service in the 1800 block of Dennison Street. When officers arrived, they found an adult male victim--identified as 19-year-old Victor Lopez-- suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.  MEMS responded and transported the victim to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead. The Coroner responded and transported the body to the Arkansas State Crime Lab and the next of kin notification is pending.

Homicide Detectives and the Crime Scene Search Unit responded to the scene and began a preliminary investigation after canvassing the area and speaking to witnesses. As the investigation continues, we urge anyone in the community with information to contact detectives at 501-371-4660 or contact us anonymously by calling 501-371-INFO (4636). #Update: On December 5, 2023, 18-year-old Jakavien Harrell was taken into custody and charged with Captial Murder.
