On January 21, 2024, officers with the Little Rock Police Department, working at Bill and Hillary Clinton National Airport, were notified by airport dispatch of a plane crash at the north end of the airport near the cargo area. Officers responded and assisted in a limited role. The victim of the crash has been identified as 62-year-old William Cope.

The investigation into the crash is being handled by the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
