Details

A Groundbreaking Ceremony for the Southeast Trail, Phase 1 has been scheduled for Wednesday, March 6, 2024 beginning at 9:30 AM.

The City of Little Rock and Pulaski County have been working with ARDOT, Metroplan and other project partners for many years to realize the vision of an off-street recreational trail extending from the Arkansas River Trail at the Clinton Library east to the Bill and Hillary National Airport and points beyond.  This first phase of construction will take the trail from the east gate of the Heifer campus to East End Park and make a connection to 6th Street.

Users of the trail will be afforded views of the Arkansas River and East Little Rock neighborhoods from the top of the levee.

This groundbreaking ceremony kicks off construction of this project. The trail is expected to be open for public use in the fall of 2024.
