LITTLE ROCK – The City of Little Rock has implemented its inclement weather policy for city employees for Tuesday, Jan. 16. City offices will be closed except for essential and emergency services such as the police and fire departments, public works and emergency communications.

The Little Rock Board of Directors agenda meeting, originally scheduled for 4 p.m. on Tuesday, has been moved to 1 p.m. Tuesday and will be held virtually. Residents may watch a livestream of the Board's 1 p.m. meeting on City of Little Rock Facebook or YouTube pages.

City of Little Rock trash pickup and Waste Management recycling pickup is canceled for Tuesday because of dangerous road conditions, and collections will resume when road conditions improve.

Public Works crews are working to clear snow and ice from the City's primary roads. Crews have been working nonstop since Sunday morning in 12-hour rotating shifts. Crews are expected to move to secondary roads, including residential streets starting Tuesday.

Weather permitting, all City offices will reopen Wednesday.
