“Participants enjoy the extraordinary experience on race weekend due to the loyal following of so many dedicated sponsors,” said Greg Hatcher, chairman of the Little Rock Marathon. “The race has been a tremendous success every year and continues to grow due to our sponsors support.”

“Although it takes a great deal of money to put on a quality event like the Little Rock Marathon,” said Hatcher, “we are still able to provide funding for Little Rock Parks & Recreation programs and services, which benefit thousands of Arkansans each year.”
“We anticipate more than 8,000 participants and still need support from the community,” said Hatcher. “Any corporation, business, organization or individual who wishes to support the Little Rock Marathon can still get involved. We need financial support, enough food to feed an small army, volunteers, cheering stops - you name it.”
The Little Rock Marathon is actually six separate events. Events include a two day health and fitness show, a marathon (26.2 miles) race, a half marathon (13.1 miles) race, a relay marathon (26.2 miles divided into four legs with each individual running/walking a little over 6 miles) race, a 5K (3.1 miles) family fun run and the Little Rockers Kids Marathon (26.2 miles completed over an extended time frame). A participant can run, walk or do a combination of running and walking in any of the events.

Proceeds benefit Little Rock Parks & Recreation. For more information contact visit www.littlerockmarathon.com or call 501-371-4770. To become a sponsor or get involved contact Greg Hatcher at 501-375-3737.
